Forward looking infrared (FLIR). AirShip V2 is equipped with cameras that use an imaging technology that senses infrared radiation. Sensors installed in its forward looking infrared camera and its thermal imaging camera, use detection of infrared radiation typically emitted from a heat source to create the "picture" assembled for the video output. Video images can be identified at night and in fog by detecting warm objects against a cooler background.
