In preparation for the U.S. Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) in Ft. Benning, GA, AirShip Technologies Group Inc. has prepared their latest air vehicle for introduction to defense and first-responders, for use in saving lives during conflict or  a disaster. 


Months of detailed preparation by the AIRSHIP teams has brought the new StingerMAV 1.0™ to the forefront for 2017.  Think of a drone in every soldier's backpack.  Other partners involved with first responders and defenders will see both the new 3D printed Micro Aerial Vehicle and the AIRSHIP Endurance V1 in West Virginia this week.


The StingerMAV 1.0™ is a solar turbine, clean tech, micro aerial vehicle (MAV).  It is designed for launch from the palm of the hand, with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capability. The AIRSHIP StingerMAV 1.0™ has a core capability to carry a first person view camera payload for personal navigation. An additional camera can be integrated for ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) including integrated sensors for electro optical visible light, infrared, and laser range finder sensors for still and video imagery, environmental monitoring, and future aerial satellite and cellular communications.


It is small enough (9.75 inch/ 24.77 cm. wingspan) to be carried in a backpack and quickly launched and guided.  Weighing less than a pound, it flies quietly and because of its unique solar recharging power, can stay aloft for six hours a day or 3 hours at night.  It is powered by solar film and lithium-polymer batteries, and can cruise at 45 mph.  It has an altitude ceiling of 400 feet (civil) to 1,000 feet (defense) and can cover a straight–line flight range of 250 miles, if needed.

AIRSHIP Invited to DefExpo India 2016 to Dominate with Its Long Flight-- Endurance V1

AirShip Begins Production of its Extended-Flight, Solar Powered Unmanned Aerial Vehicle:  The AirShip Endurance V2 VTOL

 


                                                                        AirShip Technologies Group, Inc. (www.airshiptg.com) announced this week that the company has finally begun production of its V2 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).


This is the remarkable culmination of over three years of recent design and aeronautical engineering, research and development by its Oregon-based founder and CEO, Ben Berry.

Employing a combination of regional expert 3D scanning, design, engineering and manufacturing resources; the company envisions having its first model ready for flight testing and demonstrations by November 2015. Once the v-shaped carbon fiber filament airframe is 3D printed, the power system, rotors, solar film and flight control mechanisms and sensors will be integrated, calibrated and tested. AirShip Selects Robotic Skies for UAS Global Maintenance and Support

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been formalized between AirShip Technologies Group, Inc. and Robotic Skies, LLC, which forms the framework for global support services for AirShip customers worldwide.  AirShip Technologies Group, Inc. (www.airshiptg.com) based in Oregon, and Robotic Skies (www.roboticskies.com) based in Nevada, are now working together to assure certified service, repair and maintenance services are available to AirShip customers, wherever they are located, both domestically or globally.  Both companies will work together to create a service center network to complete and support AirShip products, the V1 through V9 UAS.  (Unmanned Aircraft Systems are an aircraft and its associated elements, operated with no pilot on-board.)


According to AirShip CEO Ben Berry, “this is the greatest assurance to our worldwide customers,    that their UASs will be ready and able for rapid deployment.  It will also give the level of service support we were looking for; from great, proven and highly-experienced aviation professionals.”

UAVs for Monitoring the Vine: A New Division of AirShip Technologies Group Formed with Aerial Solutions NW: A Revolutionary New AirScape Agri-Business Precision Farming Service

AirShip Technologies Group, Inc. has created a new division to deploy UAV’s for the benefit of the domestic wine growing industry. Combining forces with Aerial Solutions NW LLC, both companies have signed a Letter of Intent to create a new business model under the AirShip wing.  “Our management team is very excited to have achieved this milestone in the company’s development.  Aerial Solutions Northwest LLC is perfectly poised to help wine growers maximize their yields and profits using UAS technologies”, said Ben Berry, company Founder and CEO.  “The letter of intent formalizes our commitment to growing the precision farming agricultural applications sector, beginning with many of the fine wine growers in the country.  It is the first of several strategic alliances we are developing.  We are currently in discussions with other UAV-focused business and government entities in the U.S., India, China, South Korea, Scotland,  Africa and Middle Eastern countries”, said Berry.


Aerial Solutions NW, LLC will dissolve and cease doing business in order to become part of AirShip Technologies Group, and Mr. Barney will help build AirShip’s AirScape division for flight operations. The Letter of Intent signed this weekend makes Aerial Solutions NW, LLC a division of AirShip.  According to Founder/CEO Shawn Barney, “We are ready and excited to be part of the AirShip team, we want to get this initiative rolling”.
